RESOLUTION NO. 24-01-02
RESOLUTION APPROVING CEMETERY FEES AT THE GRANT FAIRVIEW CEMETERY OF THE CITY OF GRANT, PERKINS COUNTY, NEBRASKA
The Mayor and Council of the City of Grant (hereinafter the City), in regular session assembled at
the City Office in the Council Chambers in Grant, Nebraska on this 9th day of January 2024, hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Grant (CITY) owns and maintains the Fairview Cemetery as part of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City incurs expenses and costs in maintaining and operating the cemetery and desires to recover those costs.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the governing body of the City of Grant, Nebraska, that effective the 9th day of January 2024, the Grant Fairview Cemetery Fees shall be as follows:

** An additional fee of $50.00 for non-resident purchasers or decedents (except in Babyland) applies to each of the above rates. **
Resident is defined as any individual who at the time of purchase resides within the City Limits of the City of Grant.
Non-Resident is defined as any individual who at the time of purchase resides outside the City Limits of the City of Grant.
Child is defined as an individual who had not yet reached the age of 16 years old.
Regular Hours are defined as Monday through Friday, 7 A.M. to 4 P.M. MT.
After Hours are defined as Monday through Friday, anything after 4 P.M. and before 7 A.M. MT.
Weekends are defined as all day (12:00 A.M. MT through 11:59 P.M. MT) Saturday and all day (12:00 A.M. MT through 11:59 P.M. MT) Sunday.
Holidays are defined as the twenty-four (24) hour period of the holiday described below beginning at 12:00 A.M. MT and ending at 11:59 P.M. MT, as observed by the State of Nebraska, or such other days as determined by the Mayor of the City of Grant:

When a holiday falls on the first day of a weekend, it shall be observed on the preceding day. When a holiday falls on the second day of a weekend, it shall be observed on the following day.
If resident owned space(s) are sold back to the City of Grant, the City will purchase the space(s) back within ten (10) years for $110.00 per space less the filing fee, with a notarized letter stating intent to return owned space(s) back to the City of Grant.
If resident owned space(s) are sold back to the City of Grant after ten years have passed, the City will purchase the space back for $1.00 per space, with a notarized letter stating intent to return owned space(s) back to the City of Grant.
If non-resident owned space(s) are sold back to the City of Grant, the City will purchase the space(s) back within ten (10) years for $160.00 per space less the filing fee, with a notarized letter stating intent to return owned space(s) back to the City of Grant.
If non-resident owned space(s) are sold back to the City of Grant after ten years have passed, the City will purchase the space back for $2.00 per space, with a notarized letter stating intent to return owned space(s) back to the City of Grant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
