SECTION 8-101: AGREEMENT WITH suburban FIRE DISTRICT
Fire protection within the city is provided by way of an interlocal agreement with the Grant Suburban Fire District, which is funded separately through its own tax base. The district provides all statutory obligations required concerning fire protection, firefighting, and fire investigations within the city. The Grant Suburban Fire District is granted full authority and power of a fire department of a second class city.
